Volvo Penta IPS Drives Now In Over 130 Boat Models

Volvo Penta's new IPS joystick controller for boats 

Marine engine and systems builder Volvo Penta announced today that 97 independent boat manufacturers are producing boat models utilizing Volvo Penta Inboard Performance System with over 130 boat models now in production. Volvo Penta IPS, launched just four years ago, is the global leader in the production of "Pod" propulsion systems.

"You can't ask for any better validation of a product than the fact that 97 of the world's best boat builders have chosen Volvo Penta IPS based on its revolutionary performance, outstanding fuel economy, low noise levels and Joystick docking technology" said Clint Moore, president of Volvo Penta of the America's. Moore added, "Volvo Penta IPS exemplifies Volvo's commitment to its Core Values of Quality, Safety and Care for the Environment."

To date, the following builders are integrating Volvo Penta IPS and producing over 130 models:
